Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer who has gained recognition for her stellar performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. She won several awards including an Oscar for the film Piano. At a young age, the accomplished actress began acting on stage in various Broadway or Off Broadway productions. When she was a kid, Helen Keller was her most loved character from a fifth class production. Following a bout of mumps, she became deaf on one side the ear. But, it was not enough to stop her desire to become an actor. While in college, she studied drama, she moved in New York City with her ambitions to achieve them. Hunter made her Broadway debut following an unplanned meeting in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. The two worked together in Broadway Crimes of the Heart. She moved into Los Angeles and tried to land movie parts. The film, Swing Shift, she landed the role of a back-up. In the years since, she has been in a variety of TV movies and series in a long career that spans more than three decades. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame famous person and she has won Women in Film Lucy Award.
